About Refentra
Simple tools. Your files stay on your device.About Refentra
Refentra is a free collection of focused browser tools for files, text and numbers: images, PDFs, video and audio, developer and data tools, text tools and calculators, including building-material quantities. Popular jobs include compressing images to a target size, converting formats, removing photo metadata and combining images into a PDF. Browse everything in the tool catalog.

How Refentra is different
Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to a conversion server. No account is needed, and resetting a tool clears its result from the page. Check each tool's supported formats and limits, and look over the output before you share it.
Method and responsibility
Refentra helps you prepare a file, text or value for one concrete job at a time. Processing happens on your device. Before a download is offered, Refentra reads dimensions, file size, format and metadata fields back from the actual output, and it tells you what you still need to check yourself.
A technical check is not the same as a visual check. A result can meet every measured requirement and still be unreadable, badly cropped, or unsuitable for your portal, so you need to judge legibility and fit yourself. Refentra does not guarantee that a destination accepts a file, does not certify readability, does not perform OCR, and does not make a photo anonymous. When a result misses a stated target, the tool says so instead of presenting it as a success.
The texts and the tools are made with AI assistance. Marco Ryszka, named in the legal notice, is responsible for the content and the service. The result examples show when and in which browser they were recorded, and platform values cited in the guides show the date they were checked.
What it costs
Nothing. Refentra is free to use, with no watermark and no sign-up.
Facts and working examples
Refentra accepts JPEG, PNG, and WebP in its core image workflows; individual tools list their narrower input and size limits before you choose a file. Processing happens in your browser and no account is required. Optional site measurement, only with your consent, never receives files, filenames, pixels, text you enter, or metadata values. Refentra is operated by Marco Ryszka. The result examples page collects recorded runs with their source files, settings, and limits.
- French Instagram fit example: source, actual outputs, and a recorded browser workflow.
- Compress to a target size example: an actual image prepared for a concrete byte limit.
- JPEG metadata edit example: downloadable original and Refentra-edited files, with a check that the pixels and the JPEG scan data are identical.
Choosing the right operation
File size, pixel dimensions, file format, and hidden metadata solve different problems. Start with the destination's actual requirements. Our upload troubleshooting guide explains how to avoid unnecessary quality loss, and the photo-location guide explains what metadata cleanup can and cannot protect.
Who maintains the site
Refentra is operated by Marco Ryszka. Development and editing use AI assistance. Changes are tested before they go live, and your reports help catch cases the tests missed. You can report an unexpected result or suggest a workflow.
