Live Photo to Motion Photo
Combine one iPhone Live Photo still image and its MOV clip into a separate Android Motion Photo JPEG.
- Runs in your browser
- No upload
- Check before download
Choose the photo from the same Live Photo as the MOV clip. Up to 25 MiB.
Choose the original MOV clip with supported AVC or HEVC video. Up to 100 MiB.
Processing stays in this browser. The selected files are not uploaded; both originals remain unchanged.
One JPEG or HEIC still plus one MOV clip per conversion. Playback depends on your Android device and gallery app; compatibility is not guaranteed.
HEIC is limited to 16 megapixels. For a larger photo, export a JPEG copy with a photo app and select that instead. HEIC is re-encoded as JPEG; quality, HDR, depth, and metadata may be lost.
JPEG pixels are not re-encoded. Existing EXIF, including GPS location, and color profile may remain; a standard XMP packet is replaced for Motion Photo data.
How to turn a Live Photo into a Motion Photo
- Select the original pair
Choose the JPEG or HEIC still image and the MOV clip from one iPhone Live Photo. Choose one pair at a time.
- Check the pairing
The tool checks both files locally but cannot prove they belong together. Confirm the pair yourself before creating the result.
- Download and test
Download the separate JPEG Motion Photo. Open it in Google Photos on your Android device to check whether the motion plays.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded or changed?
No. Processing stays in your browser and produces a separate download. The selected photo and MOV originals remain unchanged.
What happens to HEIC photos?
The still image is decoded and re-encoded as JPEG. Quality may change, and HDR, depth data, and still-image metadata may be lost.
Will it play on every Android phone?
No guarantee. The local check verifies file structure, not playback in a specific gallery app. Test the downloaded file in Google Photos on your destination device.
