Method and limits
english-uncontracted-basic-v1: no contractions; UEB-based 6-dot letters, digits and basic punctuation. A capital indicator comes before each uppercase letter, a numeric sign before digit runs, decimals and commas keep numeric mode, and a letter indicator comes before lowercase a to j after digits. This is not full UEB Grade 1 mode or transcription. Unicode braille cells are visual text, not tactile embossing and no accessibility assurance.
UTF-8 files up to 256 KiB; ordinary text up to 100,000 UTF-16 units; decoding of coded bytes up to 256 KiB. Byte codecs up to 16,384 bytes; lists up to 10,000 records each; retained tokens, graphemes, Braille cells and Unicode rows up to 20,000; HTML up to 20,000 allocations or nodes and depth 64.
