Answers for this task
Does one mode perform every cleanup?
No. Each transformation does one specific thing. Trimming the edges of lines doesn't automatically normalize every space inside a line.
What should I check if the input fails?
If formatting disappears, restore the original and pick a narrower mode. Binary or NUL content is not accepted as plain text.
Where does this tool stop?
Cleanup doesn't redact personal data, repair the meaning of OCR text or remove secrets. Review sensitive content yourself.
