Answers for this task
Why can another editor report a different count?
Editors may split on spaces or follow different language rules. This tool uses word-like segments from the locale-aware Intl.Segmenter.
What should I check if the input fails?
Paste text, not a PDF or Word file. Remove NUL characters and stay within 200,000 UTF-16 units.
Where does this tool stop?
A word total doesn't measure originality, reading difficulty or search ranking, and it doesn't reflect the rules of a publisher’s submission form.
