What this WebP to JPG batch conversion changes

Pixel dimensions are preserved. Each JPG is freshly encoded as an sRGB raster file, so embedded EXIF, IPTC, XMP, ICC, and orientation metadata are not retained.

WebP transparency cannot survive in JPG. Every selected image with an alpha channel requires an explicit background choice before the run.

Frequently asked questions

Are my WebP files uploaded to a server?

No. The whole batch is decoded and re-encoded in your browser with local workers, so your files never leave your device.

Which files can I convert?

Between 1 and 25 static WebP images. Animated WebP and other formats are rejected per file without blocking the valid ones.

What happens to transparency?

JPG cannot store transparency, so any image with an alpha channel is flattened onto a background color you confirm before converting.

Do the converted JPGs keep their size and quality?

Pixel dimensions stay exactly the same. JPG is a lossy format, and you control the trade-off with the 40–100 quality setting.
