Files and content stay on this device. Aggregate action counts are sent only with your separate consent. Plain unencrypted PDFs only: 10 MB/file, 20 pages, 10000 objects, no object streams, signatures, forms or complex navigation. Text and vectors remain. Page numbering supports unrotated pages. Cropping changes the visible page box. Hidden content remains; cropping is never secure redaction.

Crop PDF pages
- Prepare the input
Load a plain, supported PDF, choose the pages, and adjust the left, right, top and bottom crop percentages. Check the previews before you export. Margins refer to the page as you see it, including supported rotations.
- Try the worked example
For an unrotated 300×200-point page, cropping 10% from each side leaves a visible box of 240×160 points. The original page objects remain in the PDF, so the smaller visible area is not proof that hidden text was deleted.
- Check and save
Reopen the saved PDF and check the pages you chose and the ones you left alone, the page dimensions and the rotated edges. Keep the original. If your goal is to remove confidential content, use the separate raster-redaction workflow and check its output instead.
Questions
Does cropping securely remove the hidden area?
No. It changes the visible CropBox. Text, images and other content outside that box can still be recovered with a PDF editor. Never use cropping as a way to redact.
Why can I not crop almost the entire page?
Each margin must stay within the percentage range shown, and opposite margins must leave a usable page area. Correct a margin pair that is too large or invalid instead of expecting an empty page or one with everything cropped away.
Are all PDF structures supported?
No. The plain-PDF profile rejects encryption, signatures, forms and navigation or object structures it doesn't support. A file that is refused is not quietly flattened. Keep the original and choose a compatible workflow.
