Check the input and the result
- Prepare and choose the operation
Choose 8–256 characters and at least one character group. Include the groups that the service you are using accepts.
- Check a concrete example
Use this sample and compare the indicated result: length=12; [A-Z] + [a-z] + [0-9] → /^(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[0-9])[A-Za-z0-9]{12}$/
- Check the output before you reuse it
Save the generated secret somewhere secure before you leave. Use a unique password for each account, and don't reuse the examples.
Answers for this task
Are all selected groups included?
Generation uses secure randomness and rejects any candidate that is missing a selected group. The output is not a memorable phrase.
What should I check if the input fails?
Turn on a character group, enter a whole-number length and check that secure browser crypto is available. Don't shorten the password just to get around a service error.
Where does this tool stop?
A generated password doesn't set up an account, store itself in a vault, or protect you from phishing or a compromised device.
