How to use this calculator
- Set inputs and units
Enter one numeric dataset separated by spaces, commas or semicolons. Include repeated observations; don't remove duplicates.
- Calculate
Check this worked example: 1,2,2,3,7 → count5, mean3, median2, mode2
- Results
Compare the mean and the median when there are outliers. If several values are equally frequent, they can all appear as modes.
Questions and limits
Why is there no mode?
When every value occurs once, the engine reports noMode instead of treating all the unique values as informative modes.
Which input errors should I correct?
Use at most 1,000 finite numbers. Empty tokens and decimal commas are not read as missing values or decimal separators.
What does this calculation leave out?
Unweighted descriptive statistics only. No confidence intervals, sampling inference, grouping or automatic removal of missing values.
