Check the input and the result
- Prepare and choose the operation
Choose a clear PNG, JPEG or WebP that contains the code. Keep the whole symbol and the margin around it.
- Check a concrete example
Use this sample and compare the indicated result: QR (https://example.com) → https://example.com; EAN13 (4006381333931) → 4006381333931
- Check the output before you reuse it
Treat decoded URLs as untrusted text. Compare the complete hostname before you open the link separately.
Answers for this task
What happens without native barcode support?
A local ZXing fallback reads supported QR, Code128, EAN13 and UPC-A images. No remote recognition service is needed.
What should I check if the input fails?
If nothing is found, remove glare, enlarge a small code and don't crop the quiet zones. Try the original sharp image.
Where does this tool stop?
Images can be up to 8 MiB and 16 megapixels. This decodes an image file. It is not a camera permission or a safety check of where a QR code leads.
