Background corner

One static JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MiB, 8 million pixels and 6,000 px per side. The corner must be opaque. This manual tool cannot identify a subject, hair, glass or shadows. Similar foreground colors that connect to the background may disappear; soft edges may retain a fringe. Existing transparency is kept. Re-encoding removes source metadata and may change color profiles.

Remove a connected solid background

  1. Choose a static image

Select one JPEG, PNG or WebP with a nearly uniform background touching an edge.

  2. Choose the edge and tolerance

Save the verified transparent PNG only after checking the preview. This is manual color-based removal, not photographic AI cutout.

Frequently asked questions

Will hair, shadows or a busy scene be removed correctly?

Not reliably. The tool follows similar pixels connected to the chosen edge; use a dedicated subject-masking editor for complex scenes.

Can it remove an isolated patch inside the subject?

No. Only pixels connected to the chosen edge seed are considered, to reduce accidental holes.

Is my original changed?

No. The browser makes a separate output file; your selected original remains unchanged.
