Create APNG

The first PNG image must be full-canvas animation frame 0; later full or partial frames are supported. A partial frame that disappears when resized, separate default images, palettes, 16-bit samples, interlace and unsupported extensions are rejected. No exact byte target or smaller-file guarantee.

New APNG

Choose or drop one APNG

Resize a supported animated PNG

  1. Select APNG

Choose an animated PNG whose first frame fills the canvas. Later frames may use full or partial rectangles.

  2. Choose smaller dimensions

Keep the original size or set smaller width and height. All frames, exact timing fractions, disposal, blend and play count stay.

  3. Verify and download

Inspect the animated output and actual bytes. Re-encoding may make the file larger.

Frequently asked questions

Does this support every APNG?

No. A partial frame that would disappear at the selected size is rejected. Separate static fallback images, palette color, 16-bit channels and interlace are also rejected, never flattened.

Is a smaller file guaranteed?

No. This preserves animation behavior; it does not promise an exact byte target or universal compression gain.

Is my original changed?

No. The browser makes a separate output file; your selected original remains unchanged.
