- Add
Set the rows and columns and the cell size in millimeters, and fill every cell with a symbol defined in your thread legend.
- Create plan
Try this concrete example: 8×8 cells,cell5 mm,legend X/. →40×40 mm grid; every cell references X or .
- Export backup
Check that the symbols are legible and the legend is right before you export the PDF. Cells at print scale are not a conversion to fabric count.
Questions
Does the tool estimate thread length?
No. It prints your symbol grid and legend. How much thread you need depends on the fabric, the stitch technique and your working allowance.
What should I correct before generating?
The grid shape must match the rows and columns. Legend symbols must be unique single characters and cover every cell.
What does this output not establish?
No conversion of images to stitches, thread color matching or embroidery-machine files.
