Check the input and the result
- Prepare and choose the operation
Paste a User-Agent header string and read what it says about the browser and operating system. Don't assume it identifies a real device.
- Check a concrete example
Use this sample and compare the indicated result: Mozilla/5.0 Chrome/130.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 → browser="Chrome", version="130.0.0.0"
- Check the output before you reuse it
Compare the tokens reported with the raw header. Compatibility tokens such as Safari can appear alongside Chrome.
Answers for this task
Can this prove browser capabilities?
No. Headers can be reduced or faked. Detect the actual API feature in your application code instead.
What should I check if the input fails?
Supply the complete header value, not just a URL or a browser name. An unknown result can be legitimate.
Where does this tool stop?
Parsing is a best guess and incomplete. It is not a hardware inventory, a verdict on bots, a unique visitor identifier or a compatibility guarantee.
