How every number is verified

Only official sources count: the platform's or authority's own help centre, developer documentation or published PDF notice.
For every number and file type we store a word-for-word quote from that page. A script fetches each page again on a schedule (every 30 days for hard limits) and checks that the quote is still there.
If a quote disappears, the rule is withdrawn from this page until the new official wording has been read. Pages without a published limit are watched for changes, too.
Sizes are shown in decimal units (1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes). Where a platform does not say which megabyte it means, the fix aims slightly below the limit.

Passing is not a guarantee

These checks cover size, pixels and file type. Platforms can still refuse a file for its content, for example a passport photo with shadows or a listing photo with text on it. Read the official page linked in the row before a deadline.

Link to a rule

Each row has its own address, for example https://refentra.com/upload-check/#rule-kleinanzeigen-listing-photos, and each check can be shared with the button above the file field. You may link to these pages from help articles, forum answers or course material.

Spotted a changed limit? Send the official link via the contact page.

Refentra is independent of all platforms listed. This page was prepared with AI assistance; the values were checked against the linked sources.
