One static JPEG, PNG or WebP, 32 px minimum per side, up to 25 MiB and 16 million pixels. Animation is rejected. The PNG output retains transparency but re-encoding can change the original color profile and removes source metadata. Very long text that cannot fit is rejected.

Select one static JPEG, PNG or WebP within the local limits.

  2. Set the mark

Enter short text, then choose position, opacity, size and a light or dark color. Review the preview.

  3. Check and download

Create a PNG, inspect the visible mark and actual bytes, then download it. An ordinary watermark is not copy protection.

Frequently asked questions

Can a watermark stop copying?

No. A visible mark can be cropped, painted over or removed by later editing. It shows attribution rather than enforcing rights.

Does the result keep source metadata?

No. The image is re-encoded as PNG. Check color and appearance before sharing.

Is my original changed?

No. The browser makes a separate output file; your selected original remains unchanged.
