PDF uses local Liberation Sans with actual glyph checks; no RTL/complex shaping. Unsupported print text remains in the backup. Removing a row removes its linked assignments; editing/reordering preserves positional identities. Roster/draw changes clear tournament results. Roster/reference names must be unique for generation; incomplete drafts may repeat them.

Device storage is unencrypted and may be cleared or seen by other users of this browser. Keep a portable backup. Load/Clear never contacts a service.

How to use

  1. Add

    Enter the people and categories, the target team size, the pairs to keep together or apart, and a seed. Pairs refer to positions in the roster.

  2. Create plan

    Try this concrete example: 6 people,size3,together[0,1],apart[0,2],seed123 →2 feasible teams of3;0 and1 together,2 apart

  3. Export backup

    Read the status (feasible, unsatisfiable or unknown) before you export, and check the category counts without assuming the balance is optimal.

Questions

Does unknown mean impossible?

No. The limited search may reach 100,000 visits before it finds a solution. Unknown is not proof that no solution exists.

What should I correct before generating?

A person can't be required both together and apart within one connected group. Check that names are unique and the pair indices are right.

What does this output not establish?

Up to 64 people. Categories guide the order of the search, but they don't certify skills, fairness or globally optimal teams.
