Convert a static EPUB to PDF
- Prepare the input
Choose a compatible EPUB with text and images, then A4 or Letter, a margin and a font size. The tool follows the supported reading order and static layout. DRM, scripts, remote resources and unsupported fonts or scripts are refused.
- Try the worked example
An EPUB with two supported spine chapters should place chapter one before chapter two in the PDF. A chapter may run over several printed pages, so two chapters don't mean a two-page output.
- Check and save
Compare the chapter order, paragraph breaks, images and every preview page with the source. Save the PDF and the unchanged EPUB separately. The reflowed pagination and simplified Western-font layout don't reproduce exactly how an e-reader shows the book.
Questions
Why does the PDF wrap differently from my e-reader?
EPUB is reflowable. The paper, margins and font size determine the pages of this PDF, and the supported static layout doesn't preserve every EPUB stylesheet or embedded font.
Can this convert protected or interactive books?
No. DRM, scripts and external resources are not run or fetched. The supported subset rejects unsupported content instead of promising full EPUB conformance or silently dropping hidden material.
What should I reduce when the file is refused?
The EPUB profile is limited to 10 MiB of ZIP input, 20 MiB of expanded content and 300 entries, with 20 preview pages. Read the diagnostic and keep the original. Renaming or compressing the ZIP doesn't fix content that isn't supported.
