How to use

  1. Add

    Choose a grid, dots or isometric pattern, and set the paper, margins, spacing and major interval.

  2. Create plan

    Try this concrete example: A4,margin12 mm,grid spacing5 mm,major5 →major lines every25 mm; printed scale bar50 mm

  3. Export backup

    Export the PDF and print at 100% (actual size). Measure the 50 mm scale bar before you draw to scale.

Questions

Why does a 5 mm grid print smaller?

Fit-to-page and printer scaling change the physical spacing. The millimeters in the file don't control the printer driver.

What should I correct before generating?

Spacing must be 2–20 mm. Dense grids are limited, and changes to the margin or paper need the grid to be generated again.

What does this output not establish?

A printable drawing aid. It is not calibrated engineering graph paper, and it doesn't guarantee the printed dimensions.
