Local teleprompter

Profile
Print: Liberation Sans, selectable Latin/Greek/Cyrillic where the actual font encodes it; no combining marks, RTL shaping, CJK or emoji guarantee. Unsupported glyphs refuse PDF while original backups remain. Fountain layout is readable proportional 12pt, not certified industry typography. MathML rendering depends on the browser.
Live controls run only while the tab is active. Hiding, leaving or suspending pauses; reset/edit stops the attempt. No background-time, wake, autoplay, camera, microphone or recording promise. Space and arrows work inside the focused prompter.
Limits
30,000 UTF-16 units total; 100 rows, 10 columns/1,000 cells; 50 rehearsal sections; 2,000 math characters, 1,000 nodes/depth32; 40 PDF pages/8MiB output; 2MiB backup; 20s worker. PNG ≤1MiB/1024², static 8bit. Overflow is refused, never silently removed. CSV protects user text beginning with formula-like symbols using an apostrophe; computed numbers stay numeric. The JSON backup preserves the exact original text.
Check dates, finite numbers, row lengths and the named grammar. Shorten overflowing text or change paper; unsupported font/script/logo/grammar is refused. Cancel/reset and retry; preserve your original backup.
All text, contacts, dates and local images stay in this browser. No sending, tracking of content, storage, accounts or automatic URL requests. Download a backup explicitly before closing.
How to use
- Prepare the input
Paste your script, set the font size and scrolling speed in pixels per second, and choose mirror only if your setup for viewing needs it. Generate, focus the prompter and start when you are ready. The camera and microphone are not used.
- Try the worked example
At a speed of 40 pixels/second, two seconds of active scrolling move about 80 pixels before reaching the end. This is screen motion, not 40 words/second. Press Space to pause, the arrows to reposition and Home to return to the start.
- Check and save
Test how legible it is at the distance you will really be viewing from, and adjust the font size before you rehearse. Export script.txt and an input backup if you need them. Editing or resetting ends the live attempt, and hiding the tab pauses it.
Questions
Does mirroring change my saved script?
No. Mirror only affects what you see on screen. The text export keeps the script as you entered it. Compare it with the original if you have edited the text.
Why do Space and arrows scroll the page instead?
The prompter must have focus for its own keyboard controls to work. Click into it before you press Space or the arrows. Browser suspension or switching tabs also interrupts scrolling.
Can it follow my voice or record a take?
No. There is no speech recognition, camera, microphone, recording, autoplay or background continuation. Script input is limited by the request limit of 30,000 UTF-16 units and is not saved automatically.
