Calculations run locally and inputs are not saved automatically. Download an input backup before closing the tab. Input data, formulas and filenames are never sent. Only with your optional consent, Refentra sends aggregate counts of actions and outcomes, without input content.

What are the limits?

Maximum amount 1 trillion units; total 100 trillion cents. Up to 100 rows, 50 people, 20 tiers, 100 depreciation years, 1,200 schedule periods, 61 cash flows. IRR range −99% to 1,000% per interval, numerical candidates only. Rates: up to eight decimals. Backup: 1 MiB. CSV formula-leading text gets an apostrophe. Use decimal points, no thousands separators.

Amounts use two decimals in your stated unit. Exact decimal inputs; cent rounding half away from zero. Table sums balance. Largest fractional remainders receive shared cents; equal remainders use row order. No tax, fees, legal entitlement or current prices are inferred.

Non-monetary values are shown with up to ten significant digits. CAGR, fractional-year inflation and IRR use numerical approximations; IRR candidates are not a symbolic proof. CSV keeps the numeric values before display rounding.

Policy totals use exact fractions before rounding. Final pay or commission is rounded once. Base pay is rounded from all base hours; the premium reconciles final pay minus base. Displayed row cent portions balance these totals and remain between their exact floor and ceiling. Redundant same-rate thresholds cannot change totals. This is a calculation convention, not a legal payroll rule.

Calculate with your own assumptions

  1. Enter the inputs

Name your policy and enter the total hours, the base hourly pay and the thresholds in order, each with a multiplier. Start at 0. A multiplier of 1.5 means 150% of base pay for that segment. Enter decimals with a point and without thousands separators.

  2. Check a worked example

    45 hours at 10 EUR/hour, thresholds 0→1 and 40→1.5: base 45×10=450; premium 5×10×0.5=25; total 475 EUR.

  3. Interpret and save the result

A multiplier applies only within its own hour segment. Base pay plus premium equals the final pay. The exact amounts are added up before the cents are reconciled, so adding a redundant threshold with the same rate doesn't change the total pay. Export the segments CSV.

Method, errors and limits

Can I reopen editable inputs from the CSV?

The CSV is a report of the results, not a backup of your inputs. Download the separate JSON input backup before you close the page, then import it into this same tool to edit your assumptions again. Import accepts files up to 1 MiB and checks that the file belongs to this tool. Inputs are not saved automatically.

Which input mistakes should I check?

Thresholds must start at 0 and keep increasing; duplicate or unsorted thresholds are rejected. Hours and thresholds are 0–1000, and multipliers are 1–10. For a 50% premium, enter 1.5, not 50.

What are this model’s limits?

At most 20 custom tiers. The named policy is your own assumption; it isn't checked against any law or contract. No automatic weekly or daily reset, no deductions and no check of what you are entitled to.
